Uploading Existing Resumes

Upload your old resume in PDF, Word, or text format, and let Letraz automatically extract and organize your data.

Already have a resume? Just upload it. Letraz will parse it automatically and break it into editable sections.

Supported File Formats

  • PDF (.pdf)

  • Word Document (.docx, .doc)

  • Text File (.txt)

Maximum file size: 10 MB

Steps to Upload

  1. Click Upload Resume on your dashboard.

  2. Choose your file.

  3. Letraz will extract your details automatically and display them under:

    • Personal Information

    • Work Experience

    • Education

    • Skills & Projects

    • Certifications

You can then edit each section directly in the interface (same layout as your screenshots).

Parsing Accuracy

Letraz’s parsing engine reads structured text best.
Resumes that are clean and text-based import accurately.
If your old file uses images, icons, or tables, some information might need to be reviewed.

However:

  • Clean, text-based resumes parse most accurately.

  • Overdesigned or image-heavy resumes may need a few manual fixes.

Best Practice: After upload, review each section and correct small formatting issues like missing months or company names.

Example

If your old resume says:

Software Developer – XYZ Technologies (June 2022 – Present)

Letraz will automatically organize it like this:

  • Job Title: Software Developer

  • Company Name: XYZ Technologies

  • Country: (Detected automatically or can be selected manually)

  • Start Month/Year: June 2022

  • I currently work here:

You can then open this entry in the Experience section to edit or add:

  • City

  • Employment Type (e.g. Full-time, Internship, Contract)

  • Description — where you can list your responsibilities and achievements.

Tip: After import, always review the extracted details once to ensure all fields are filled correctly before exporting.
